ABOUT THE SETTING
I first decided to become a childminder when my own children were young - they have since grown into adults and my business has evolved over this time into a high quality bespoke childminding service.
My setting is my 5 bedroomed semi-detached home, in Bury St Edmunds. There is a very large purpose built playroom, leading onto a secure rear garden allowing children full access of free flow. The children have full access to all of the downstairs of the house and garden.

I offer a 'home from home' family setting where I aim to provide a continuous and very flexible service and allowing me to offer a high quality childminding setting for parents including shift workers, those wanting occasional extra days or for baby siblings. Often requirements change for parents - the flexibility I can offer means continuity of care is guaranteed for each child.
I provide a flexible and personal childminding service that meets the needs of each individual child and their family circumstances, fitting around work schedules (including shift workers) and family commitments.
As a childminder I offer flexible working hours – full time, part time, ad hoc, weekend, term time only or school holiday only care. I am happy to offer care for shift workers on a flexible shift pattern as well as offering unsociable hours care (early mornings, late evenings, overnight, weekends). I am also able to offer extra hours as required including respite and emergency care at short notice (subject to availability). I am able to offer 15 hours funded care for 3 and 4 year olds and eligible 2 year olds.
I provide regular monthly Newsletters, daily Whatsapp updates and provide a comprehensive Learning Journey (Memory Book) for each child in my setting. I believe communciation and working with parents is key to providing the best for each child in my care and ensure that each child is being 'challenged' with their learning and play.

I am fully compliant with Government legislation for childminders and have submitted my Local Offer in relation to Special Educational Needs and Disability Legislation via the Suffolk County Council website.
